HOW IT WORKS
Rose hips are the portion of the rose that remains after the petals fall off. Historically they have been used as a source of vitamin C and antioxidants.
WHY ROSE HIPS?
From the mountains and forests of Eastern Europe come pure rose hips where they grow in abundance away from pollution, radiation and pesticides. Our rose hips are sustainably harvested and predominantly wild-crafted by families living in these remote regions, providing an economic opportunity with fair wages and a solid income. We’ve partnered with the same trusted supplier for more than a decade to bring you this non-GMO, Kosher-certified supplement.
THE STORY BEHIND ROSE HIPS
With prehistoric evidence of use in the pile dwellings of Switzerland, rose hips are among some of the oldest beneficial botanicals known to man. Old-Icelandic mythology touts their beneficial properties, and ancient Romans propagated their use to help with various issues from toothaches to kidney support to digestive health.
More recently, rose hips were used by the British during World War II. As citrus fruits were in short supply, rose hips became a popular source of vitamin C, and Britons made them into syrup to nourish children.
Traditional uses include supporting the immune, digestive and nervous systems, while more recent research suggests support for joint health.
